Warren C. Metzger II, Chip to family and friends, was born and raised in Anchorage. A product of ASD, he attended Turnagain elementary, Romig Jr. High and West High school. He graduated from Western Washington University in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Parks.
Chip was baptized and confirmed at St Mary’s Episcopal Church as a child but did not come to saving faith in Christ until 1989, about the same time he decided to leave carpentry and the ski business to pursue flying as a full-time career. The oldest, Warren David, will graduate in 2019. Kenan Jack will be a sophomore this year and Elise Joy a freshman. Chip and Kim have attended AGC since before they were married and Chip has served as an usher at the church as well as volunteering as a coach, chaperone and bus driver for the school over the years.
