GCS appreciates the level of commitment and sacrifice that tuition poses to families who understand the value of a rigorous Christ-centered education for their children. We recognize that not every family can afford full tuition for their students and may need a Tailored Tuition whereby it is discounted based on the financial ability of the family*. That is why we offer families the opportunity to apply for Tailored Tuition assistance.

* The Fifteen Percent Guideline, established by the GCS School Board, provides that most families are eligible for Tailored Tuition to the extent that the total tuition due exceeds 15% of the family’s income. Generally, awards are not more than 50% of tuition due. Extenuating circumstances are always considered.
* Only full-time students are eligible to apply for tailored tuition.
Tailored Tuition Application Periods

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of economic situation is typical of families who qualify for Tailored Tuition?
A wide range of families with a variety of circumstances qualify for the program. Many factors are evaluated, including income, assets, unusual expenses, special circumstances and the size of the family.
How can I calculate my potential Tailored Tuition?
Total gross household income X 15% = estimated Tailored Tuition amount. However, this is a GUIDELINE and we do take into account the variables mentioned above to tailor tuition to your unique financial situation.
Are some families awarded full tuition?
No. Every family is required to make a financial investment in their child’s education. Our commitment to providing Tailored Tuition means that we are sharing in that investment with you. No family will receive Tailored Tuition that covers the entire cost of tuition.
Do I need to apply for admission separately from applying for Tailored Tuition?
Yes. For new students, application to Grace Christian School and application for Tailored Tuition are two separate processes. You begin with the application for admissions, and then upon acceptance, you may begin the Tailored Tuition application process.
Should every admitted family submit an application for Tailored Tuition?
No. Only families who feel that they may not be able to pay the full amount of standard tuition should submit a Tailored Tuition Request Form.
Will applying for Tailored Tuition hurt my student’s chance of being admitted to the school?
No. Admission applications and Tailored Tuition applications are evaluated separately, and an application for Tailored Tuition has no bearing on the admission process. Grace Christian School practices need-blind admissions.
Upon completion of my Tailored Tuition application, when will I receive confirmation of my Tailored Tuition?
Confirmation is typically received within 3-4 weeks after submitting all required information.
Will I need to apply for Tailored Tuition every year?
Yes. A new application must be submitted each school year.
