What do you love about Grace Christian School?
I love the opportunity that they offer and how encouraging the faculty is. This past year I went on Alaska missions and right before we were about to leave for the first part of our trip I got really sick. When I returned back to school so many of the staff were coming up to me and asking how I was and they let me know that they had been praying for me.
What do you like about being in a K-12 school?
The thing I love about being at a K-12 school is getting to hear the fun stories in the hallway. Some school days are more challenging than others and it’s really nice to have a little kid smile or wave at you when you’ve had a long day.
How has your personal faith in Christ grown as a result of your experience at Grace Christian School?
Being at GCS has helped in my spiritual growth. The great thing about going to a Christian school is that the teachers are Christians. Whenever I have questions or I need prayer the teachers are so willing to stop everything and help.
Tell us about a teacher, coach, principal, staff member or older GCS student that has had an impact in your life?
I first came to GCS in 6th grade and I wasn’t sure what to expect. 6th grade was challenging for sure but my teacher, Mrs. Morookian, made such a difference. Mrs. M took so much time to get to know me and to learn how she could help me learn better. I had never had a teacher who genuinely cared about me as much as she did. This past year I had the chance to be a 6th grade TA and I loved it.
What opportunities have you experienced at Grace that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
One of the things that I really love about Grace is the mission opportunities that they offer. My freshman year I got to go to Cambodia and serve for about three weeks and I loved it. Cambodia definitely has a piece of my heart and has really played a major role in my faith. Since my trip to Cambodia I’ve had the opportunity to go and serve on more missions!
