What year did you graduate?
I graduated from GCS in 2016
How long did you attend Grace Christian School?
I attended Grace from grades 1-12.
I will be attending Seattle Pacific University, majoring in Computer Science
What did you love most about Grace Christian School?
What I love about Grace Christian School is the relationships and lifelong friendships that I have made.
What do you think the benefits were in attending a K-12 school?
I have grown up at GCS so it feels like family. Having my siblings in the same building was fun and a great experience.
How was your personal faith in Christ impacted by your experience at Grace Christian School?
I was challenged to grow in my faith by teachers who encouraged, instructed and shared their faith daily. GCS gives students many opportunities throughout the year to be involved in ministry. One way students can get involved is through mission trips. These trips impacted me by giving me the opportunity to share my faith in Jesus Christ with students in remote Alaskan villages. It took me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to rely on God.
How do you feel that GCS prepared you for graduation, college and life?
One way GCS prepared me was by giving me the opportunity to challenge myself by taking AP classes. I feel confident that whatever I encounter academically, mentally or spiritually in the next phase of my life I am more than ready to face these challenges. Also being part of various sports teams throughout the year and still balancing my academic schedule gives me confidence that I can handle the rigors of college life.
What opportunities did you experience at Grace that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
GCS is a smaller school so everyone has the opportunity to play sports, go on mission trips and be part of student government. You just have to be willing to put in the work.
