Karl Bruening currently serves as the Vice President of Business Intelligence & Innovation for Chugach Government Services where he leads the Business Intelligence department in support of CGS LLC and multiple subsidiary companies. Karl has worked as a contractor supporting Department of Defense clients as Project/Program Manager on large maintenance and operations contracts. Karl has served in the U.S. Army on active duty and concurrently serves in the Alaska Army National Guard. Karl holds B.S. From Seattle University and an MBA from Grand Canyon University.
Karl is married to Deborah Bruening and they have two kids, Garin Cernich (GCS class of 22) and Max Cernich who will be a Senior in the fall of 22. Deborah is a Registered Nurse and has served in many areas of GCS over the years. Karl and Deborah serve in Children’s ministry at Anchorage Grace Church and love to spend time outdoors as a family, hiking and biking.
