Welcome back to Two Minute Tuesday! Here is what is happening at GCS…
Chapel Changes for NEXT Week
Elementary Chapel will be on TUESDAY next week. This chapel will include any 6th grade awards being handed out. There will be NO chapel for secondary next week.
Staff Changes & Additions for Next Year
We are excited to fill you in on some movement happening here within the GCS faculty. Mrs. Carrie Bjorn-Roli will be moving from 6th grade to junior high Science and STEM. Additionally, Mrs. Judy Morookian will be moving from 6th grade to secondary English. This left us with two teaching positions to fill for 6th grade, and we are happy to announce the hiring of Jennifer Rizer for one of those openings. Jenny is a GCS parent and is already a treasured part of the GCS family. We are thrilled to have her expertise on board. Check back in next week’s 2MT to learn more about Mrs. Rizer and read her full bio.
In the meantime, we have hired a new 2nd grade teacher to take over for Mrs. Stiller who is moving to Kindergarten. Meet our new 2nd grade teacher, Rebecca Edwards: https://www.
We still have one 6th grade position open, so please be sure to keep us in your prayers and help us spread the word!

Calling All Freshman and Sophomore Families
Graduation is quickly approaching and your help is needed hosting the graduation reception. We are expecting 600+ guests! If you are willing to help, Jennafer Martin is looking for volunteers to assist with set-up, serving during the reception, and clean up afterwards. You can also contribute with a donation to help cover the cost of food. We encourage our underclassmen to pay it forward to our Senior class in this way. It will be YOUR student graduating in just a few short years, and others will do the same for you! Let’s jump in and show our guests what the GCS community is all about!
